Keeping
Leather care
A leather bag asks for simple habits, not a ritual. The aim is to let the material age well — not to keep it looking unused.
Understanding Leather
Leather is a living surface. Colour will deepen and the surface will gloss where hands rest. Fine scratches are part of how leather lives; many will soften as the surface oils redistribute. Deep marks are a record of use, not a defect to panic over. A bag that never changes has not been carried.
Everyday Care
A leather bag asks for simple habits, not a ritual. Wipe away dust with a soft, dry cloth. Rain happens: if the bag gets wet, blot — do not rub — and let it dry naturally, away from heaters and direct sun. Leather benefits from occasional conditioning when it looks dry. Use a small amount of a conditioner made for leather, applied evenly, and allow it to absorb.
Cleaning
For light marks, a barely damp cloth is enough. Avoid soaking the leather or using household cleaners. The aim is to let the material age well — not to keep it looking unused.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, stuffed lightly so the shape holds. Keep it out of prolonged sunlight. A breathable dust bag is better than plastic.
What to Avoid
Do not soak the leather. Do not use household cleaners, a hairdryer, or heat to dry a wet bag. Avoid prolonged sunlight in storage, and avoid keeping the bag in plastic.
